We are excited to announce the first AYANA Youth Innovation Lab held since the pandemic started! Mission Of Love Support Community Based Organization is an incredible organization in the Obunga settlement of Kisumu, Kenya that has been working to address challenges faced by orphans and vulnerable children as well as victims of sexual and gender-based violence. This program would not have been possible without Denis Ouma, a board member of MILSCO who believes in the power of empowering young people and reducing donor dependency.

Above, you'll find a video of two of the young women who participated in the Youth Innovation Lab. We are grateful to have been able to fund this Lab & empower the participants with the funding to see their projects to life!

The two projects that AYANA provided funding to, which were designed and will be entirely led by the twenty young women who participated, are:

1) An environmental clean-up project, presented on above, which will engage 60+ local youth over four hours of clean-ups, and

2) Distributing reusable menstrual pads to over 110 girls in need in the settlement.
